By M&M i got 2 of these - one for each of my children - as a first experience with a bento box. they are good, although they don't hold a huge amount and there is only extra room (the size of a granola bar) if you don't put the silverware in. the box took my children (4 & 7 years old) a little getting used to to open, but now they can do it. i am a drop worried about the latch lasting, but this is only week 2. overall, this is a very managable system, though if your kids are as active as mine and you need to send them to school with a snack, lunch and an after-school nibble to keep them going, you might find these boxes on the small side.
