 Excellent Toy & Teether for Crib Dec 20, 2009

My baby was not overly impressed with this rattle when I gave it to him during playtime. I decided to leave it in his crib so he would have something to play with when he first woke up. This rattle is absolutely perfect for this purpose. It is not overstimulating so it will not make him want to stay awake and play. Because of its size it is completely safe and I don't have to worry about a suffocation hazard like most stuffed animals. The first thing he does when he wakes up is grab this rattle. He shakes it around, but mostly uses it as a teether. One morning I noticed that the beak, both wings, the tail and comb were all wet! He had made his rounds! ...and I got a few extra minutes of sleep before he wanted to get out of his crib. I also feel good knowing he is chewing on safe dyes and organic cotton.

It's a cute design, but it hardly rattles. There are hardly any beads to rattle in this toy. It defeats the purpose. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this rattle. I only gave it 2 stars because it is cute, but other than that, it is just useless as a rattle.

I love this toy for my 2 month old! We are chicken loves, have 8 of them and thought this was so our taste in a baby toy. Then add that its organic cotton and a steal of a price, cant beat it!!! I cant wait to give it our baby on x-mas.
