This is a good quality of pure badger hair. It is normally regarded as the
benchmark standard of shaving brush manufacturers. The white/brown colour in
the shaving brush indicates an above average standard and also confirms that the
mixture of hair is very pure. The hair is stiffer to the touch and is always very
popular with shavers who use their brush to exfoliate their skin at the same time
as preparing it for shaving | | | | | |

My First Badger Hair Brush Jul 07, 2010
By G Man I used to shave with multi-blade cartridge systems, foil razors, electric clippers, etc. I first learned about shaving with a safety razor on [...]. I also watched Mantic59 videos which give great tips on shaving with a safety razor.
I didn't want to purchase a real expensive badger hair brush as this is my first. I must say, I am impressed with the performance considering the price. I really haven't had any issues with this brush, aside from the casual stray hair here and there.
Shave like a man and get a badger hair brush and safety razor. I recommend this brush for beginners. You can always buy a better brush when you get your technique down packed.

How did we evolve to cream in a can or a tube? Jul 01, 2009
By C. Schimanski This is the ONLY way for a man to shave! I will NEVER return to the can of cream or gel, I'll never again buy a tube of lotion like goop to shave my face!
Use a brush, badger if possible, boar bristle (my first brush was boar) if you don't want to spend the cash.
Get yourself a nice deep shave bowl or mug.
Place your soap (sea-buckthorn is nice, but I prefer the aloe EJ soap more) in the bottom of the bowl.
Put your brush in the bowl.
Fill it with HOT water to the brim.
Let it soak, 15~30 seconds and dump your bowl out.
Shake the water from your brush, once or twice.
Swirl the brush on the softened soap 10 times or so.
Work it to a lather ON YOUR FACE in circular motions....
I actually LIKE to shave now! Thanks Edwin Jagger and Simple Luxuries!
