If you reading reviews and concerned about if this works or not, let me put you at ease because I was in the same place as you. This was a Christmas gift for my Girlfriend, but seems like more of a gift for both of us. Now I don't have to hear my girlfriend nag me because I did not cut the wick short enough. To those on here who have and will write negative reviews about this wick trimmer, I am confused. I'm not saying it's the best wick trimmer of all time, I mean it's not made of gold and covered with diamonds, but This Wick Trimmer gets the job done it WORKS GREAT! I cannot think of one thing that is bad about it. You take out the wick trimmer you go up to the candel and with one snip the wick is cut perfect every time. Better yet the wick lays cleanly on your trimmers round shaped area and you don't have to worry about a loose piece in your jar. No more fighting with scissors cutting at an awkward angel and making loose pieces in the candle jar. And yes it is sharp enough to cut through the wick like butter. That was my major concern. I gave it four stars becuase it just seems right. After all it's just wick trimmers it's not a bleepin Car! If in the next years I find anything wrong with them at all(for example they don't cut as good) I will come back on this post and let you know.

I had been looking for one of these to trim the wicks in tall jar candles. It does an excellent job and you don't end up with the tip of the wick down inside the jar. I would highly recommend this. I gave three as gifts and everyone loved them.

If you burn a lot of candles, you know you should always trim the wick before each lighting, to prevent the flame from burning too high and causing that nasty soot buildup inside candle jars and your home. The bottom of wick trimmers are bent at a 90 degree angle, easily trimming wicks in one snip where ordinary scissors would take several angled snips.
This particular trimmer is sturdy, the blades are sharp, and I've had no trouble trimming a variety of wicks from different brands of candles. This trimmer is well worth the money. The stainless steel goes with any decor, and does not require any special care. The trimmer is long enough to reach all the way to the bottom of a large jar candle with ease. The package arrived quickly, and was in good condition. I would recommend this trimmer for any candle enthusiast.

This trimmer is perfect for maintaining the wicks of jar candles. Proper wick trimming keeps the flame from burning too high and producing soot. This trimmer is so much better for the job than plain scissors that I bought 2 - 1 for the bedroom and 1 for the family room.

Product is exactly what it says, and does a great job. Super easy to trim wicks in even large jar candles that are burned down quite a bit. The cutter is shaped such that it traps the burned wick so you can easily throw it away (ie doesn't fall off into melted wax.) Will probably be getting another soon, one for upstairs and one for downstairs :)
